Congratulations to the winners on the weekend Paul and Belly who magnificently shot great scores.  To set a new range record for Canberra with a great 268 Paul is an exceptional achievement. Belly i believe has raised the bar for Light Gun with another tremendous win and i would say probably the best chance to take out Light Gun shooter of the year for 2012.

Belly's consistency at many ranges on the circuit is a true credit to someone who has put a lot of effort into his shooting - well done mate and keep going.

Well done to Dave and the team for the shoot it takes a lot of effort to get these shoots up and running and no doubt people should recognise that it is not all about pulling the trigger. Thanks to the other shooters who assisted , Leanne Van Meurs for weighing the light guns, every little bit helps so please if you are at a shoot see if you can help out.

Thanks very much to Pete Van Meurs also, without the tremendous sponsorship with product and the lucky door prizes many would have gone home empty handed. It is a real credit to you Pete for supplying your products and the sponsoring of the event.

Last of all thanks to the shooters who attended i think that fly shooting is a great sport and we all would be at a loss without it.

The real story here lies with Paul Deehan. Paul has clearly found something with his rifle as this is the 2nd time in succession he has featured on the podium with great scores. His range record at Canberra with 268 points was really special. The conditions obviously weren't heavy but they were up and down and they were switching from one side to the other which means he concentrated extremely well for the 5 targets. I don't care who you are, you can't score 268 points without putting in a lot of effort so a sincere congratulations to Paul.

Must also thank Dave  Groves and the Canberra team for running another great shoot and of course Pete & Lee-Anne van Meurs for their sponsorship of this event.
