Waggaa Nite fly

chappo (Greg Chapman)
G'day all.
Well we had 15 entries for our first night 300m fly shoot. Many arrived early for a bit of practice and nice relaxing BBQ. The warmer target got started at 8.50pm and we had shot all five record targets by 10.30pm. Everyone got in and helped with all the duties and the shoot pretty much ran like  clockwork. Light winds from the west prevailed with a bit of unexplained vertical to catch out a few of us.

The lights at the benches were fine but only adequate at 300. This is something we will improve on.

The first target saw some 'sharefarming' on one frame from three benches away but once that was sorted away we went. Young Roy EWIN (GOW) put down a 60.5 on the C target and followed it up with a 60.4 and finished with a 60.3 on the E target to take the win with a total of 297.18. Yep 18 flys!!

Some good scores were shot and everyone had a great time.

Full results to follow.

The January shoot will be on Saturday the 14th for all those interested.

cheers
Chappo
