Hi All,

The shoot has been run and won, and I must say it was fantastic to see the range re open at Wagga.  Well done to the club and its hard working members.  I believe there is a lot of credit owed to SSAA NSW for the funding and to National Parks and Wildlife for their co-operation.

Here are the full results in both versions of excel.

See the tabs at the bottom for each different class.

The conditions over the weekend made for very pleasant competition, with light switching winds and some mirage testing competitor’s skills.

Saturday was the 300 metre custom and factory class event.  First place in custom class was taken by Michael Bell with 292.05, with Grant Groves (291.14) and Rod Davies (290.11) taking 2nd and third respectively.  Factory class was won by Brandon Guglemino with 269.02 with Anthony Hall & Les Fraser taking 2nd and third place.  The Top 3 Juniors for the day were Kiera Deehan with 274.04, Tyler Chapman with 269.06 and Brandon Guglemino with 269.02.  Smallest Group of the day went to Barry Tucker with 0.608” (15.44mm)

Sunday was the 500 metre Light Gun and Heavy Gun Fly event.  This was a nationally registered match and had shooters competing for national Shooter of The Year points as well as the local event.  First Place in Light Gun went to Tyson Trotter with 261.04, with Rod Davies and Anthony Hall making the top three.  Heavy Gun was won by Dave Groves with 256.02, with Rod Davies & Paul Deehan rounding out the top three.  The Top three Juniors for the day were Tyler Chapman with 191 points, Kira Deehan with 183.03 and Andrew Wright with 181 points.  Smallest Group of the day for Light Gun went to Lindsay Horsefall with 1.182”  and Heavy Gun went to Paul Deehan with 1.403”

Two new range records were shot at 500m, Tyson Trotter with his Light Gun score of 261.03 will replace the record of 260.03 shot by Anthony Hall in August 2013.  Paul Deehan will take the Heavy Gun Best target record with 59.03, this was previously held since March 2012 by Jaegen Peet .

Cheers

Anthony
