Hi All,

A fantastic weekend of Fly shooting  !!  See attached full results on the excel file below.

Some great scores, some great groups, personal bests, juniors that out ranked most of the adults (especially in the rimfire !!), but best of all a great time and a lot of fun with a terrific bunch of shooters/

We started the weekend with a Final Shot for Ian Davis and a minutes silence.... his son Miles shot the event in tribute to his late dad.

We ended up with 50 entries (31 LG & 19 HG) on saturday plus 37 on sunday for the Rimfire !!  Was a great roll up and it is great to see this sport continuing to grow.

Well done to Belly for the Heavy Gun win, I was lucky enough to grab the Light Gun win, Michael Easton shot a screamer of a group for LG at 1.140" and Jason trotter shot a great best target in HG at 58.03. PVM also managed 3 flies on one target... not done too often at 500m.

Rimfire, the Juniors were the stars.

Well done to Glenn Seaman with a great win at 252.05, but hot on his heels were 2 juniors with second place going to Tori Colls on 252,01 and third place to Emily Seaman on 246.04.

There were stories of great four shot groups..... talk of introducing a brick award in rimfire and lots of other very memorable things..... the atmosphere was a credit to all those that came and shot with us.

A big thanks to PVM sho scored over 400 targets during the weekend !! Big effort and much appreciated.

Please see a full copy of the results on the spreadsheet attached, check out the tabs on the bottom for the results from each different event.

Cheers

Another great weekend at the Bay i see this event in years to come having to have benches booked weeks in advance just to get a spot.

Congratulations to Bryson Anthony and all the crew that put the shoot together. It always warms my heart to sit around on Friday night and talk about guns the pro's con's etc. Belly put together a solid performance once again on and off the field and to be honest the atmosphere at the Bay is truly a credit to the club and the flyshooting fraternity.

Congratulations to Peter Varley who scored in the top ten which was one of his goals this year, Peter Merriman well done on some excellent shooting and your very high placing.

Steve Eades and his lovely partner welcome to fly shooting and hope that you come back i am sure that there was alot of other new comers also.

From my own personal experience we as fly shooters are doing the right things to grow the sport, jump in to help out where you can and make the event fun with hassle free time spent on the range.

Where ever we can we should all assist clubs run these events and promote the sport. Anthony and I will be making some changes to the website and hope that fly shooters appreciate the effort that goes into the web site.

Once again thank you to the organisers of the Batemans Bay shoot and to the competitors and support personnel without valuable contributions of personal time and effort these events would not be the success they are today, well done everyone.

cheers Les

Hi Les & Anthony

Thanks for the great weekend.
I had a lot of fun and met a lot of great people.
I can't wait to see everyone at the Wagga FLY in August.

Thats great steve and well done to Linda for a great result and well deserved 15th place. I am very happy the loan gun was up to your expectation and performed well for you. The idea of the loan rifle was to encourage new shooters like Linda into the sport hopefully she will be a valued member of the flyshooting fraternity.

We all look forward to seeing you and Linda at the next match......

Cheers and good shooting Les
