Results - Batemans Bay Feb 2018

Hi All,

A great weekend of shooting with some fantastic results.

Well done to Ken Perrin with outright first place and the win in heavy gun with 240.03, Dave Groves and Rod Davies took 2nd & third in Heavy gun.  Best target was Dave Groves with 55.02 and small group went to Rod Davies with 1.98"

Michael Bell won Light gun with 230.01 with Geoff Perdon & Rob Eager taking 2nd and third. Best target was Geoff Perdon with 55.01 and Small group went to Nick Aagren with 1.75".

On Sunday at 300m custom class was won by Jason Armstrong with 291.15 (yes 15 flies), with Geoff Perdon (291.08) and Greg Chapman (290.07) taking 2nd & third. Best Target was Nick Aagren with 60.05 and small group went to Greg Chapman with 0.629".

Factory Class was won by Anthony Hall with 265.03, Les Fraser (255.06) was second and David Zucconi (243.02) took third place.  Best Target was Les Fraser with 59.01 and small group was Steve Ball with 1.06".

The two gun for the weekend was won by Ken Perrin, with Michael Bell and Geoff Perdon taking 2nd & third.

Great start to the 2018 Fly Shooting year and first points for SOTY are on the board !!

G'day Anthony,
Definitely wasn't me that finished 3rd in Heavy...have to give that to Rod Davies, our reigning world F-Class open champion who I had the pleasure & honour of sharing a bench with last Saturday. Great bloke who may have been distracted somewhat by me constantly picking his brain!!!

Great weekend as usual with the events running like Swiss watches.

No wallets or keys lost in the surf which was a relief.

Congrats to Kenny P who shot the high score for the day at 500 & also to Jason Armstrong who smashed the fly 15 times in the 300 meter match on Sunday.
Interesting to note that Jason was right up there on Saturday with one target to go while shooting 70 grain projectiles from his slightly improved PPC....shudder to think what he might do if he moves to 100 grainers!!
