Blue Heeler 500m and BeeDee Bags 300 - Wagga August 2019

500m Blue Heeler Classic and BeeDee Bags 300m
August 24-25, 2019
SSAA (Wagga Wagga) Inc, Big Springs Range (south of Wagga)
500m Light and Heavy Gun Fly
300m Fly Custom and factory class

Program
• Friday, August 23: Practice and flag set-up available.
• Saturday, August 24: Centrefire 500m Fly: 5 target competition plus warmer/practice target, 8.30am start. The
        500m Shoot will be a registered match and count toward Shooter of the Year.
• Sunday, August 25: 300m Fly, 8.30am start..

Nominations close 18th of August
Fees: $50 one class, $90 two classes, $120 three classes.$130 all four classes
Fees can be paid on arrival.
Nominations to: chappo555@bigpond.com  due to my injury no SMS’s, phone calls or in person nominations accepted. Please email ALL nominations.
Please include:
• Name
• Calibre (if more than one class - calibre for each class)
• Class or classes you wish to shoot
• Details regarding sharing equipment (with who and what)
• Junior or left-hander
• Contact phone number, email address and any other details you may have for the equipment list

Rules:
Light Gun, Heavy Gun competition will be run in accordance with the SSAA Benchrest Fly rulebook current at the time of the competition.
Note: SSAA Big Springs does not allow .338 and larger cartridges at this time,
300m fly will be custom (any eligible fly rifle) and also include a factory class.  Factory rules will be
• Factory stock
• Factory Barrel and calibre
• Any Scope max 25 power
• Any Trigger
• No flat fore ends
• No Designated target rifles/models
• Max weight of 5kg

Prizes:
Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, Small Group and High Scoring Target Saturday for Light/Heavy on Saturday and Custom/factory on Sunday.
1st place Junior both days.
Overall winner each day
1st, 2nd and 3rd for 2 day aggregates.
Patches for hits on the Fly both days.
Prizes include:
a) 30 inch 1:8 Maddco 6mm barrel supplied by Pro-cal Trading
b) 30 inch 1:8 Krieger 6mm barrel donated by BeeDee Bags.
c) 4kgs of ADI AR2208.

Facilities: Catering will be provided by the Aimee St Clair Foundation Lunch Saturday and Sunday for Breakfast and Lunch
Camping: Free camping including Hot showers, toilets, cooking facilities and electricity. Please note we only have solar power and being winter we will have to limit power usage. Camp fridges, phone rechargers and items like CPAP machines are allowed but any one intending to use a large amount of power, ie caravan heaters, will not be allowed.

   I note that Mike Cockcroft & his crew from Huntsville Texas are having a 500 meter fly match this weekend.

  I'm guessing this will be a "postal match" against us Aussies & so the score comparison's will be made against our Wagga match mentioned in this thread!!

  The weather forcast for Huntsville is a nice & toasty 34 degrees with gentle breezes up to 11 kph so I reckon we should expect some good scores from the Texans who have have adapted to our game with relative ease.
One unnamed shooter, while practising, has pegged a 5 shot .8" group (with 4 of those shots going sub .5')  using a  300 wsm....big things are predicted for him!

  Lets hope they attract a good field & enjoy themselves.

Sorry all. Havent sent any replies as typing with one arm that is broken at the elbow and dislocated at the shoulder is very hard at the moment.
