Thinking of buying a howa 6.5 creed in bell and Carlson stock

The  “target “ round has me a little confused as I think you had some hassles with the ppc correct ?

Hi All,

Batemans_Bay_SSAA_Factory_Class.pdf

Here are the rules, they are also on the main page of the web site.

Basically designed to be any factory hunting style rifle with up to 25x scope.  You can bed it, float it, tweak the trigger if you want, and tune up a load for it but that's about it....no barrel changes, no rechambers, no stock modifications or replacements.

No target rounds is designed to count out 6BR, 6PPC, Dasher etc, and having a functioning magazine counts out most specialised target variants....  The whole Idea is that people can either shoot what they already have for hunting, or a new shooter can go out.....buy an off the shelf factory rifle and be reasonably competitive for not a lot of money.  We have custom class if you want modified etc.

Cheers

Anthony

Thanks Anthony

So if I purchase a Howa 6 or 65 creedmore in a B&C stock that would be acceptable?
Howa dose not really have models as such and simply different action and stock configurations.

Hi John,

I am not familiar with that exact rifle..... but if it is available from the manufacturer (HOWA) in that exact combination, has a functioning magazine and the fore end of the stock is less than 2.6" at its widest point  that would be perfectly fine.

If however the stock is changed by a store or gunsmith, or is only available as a custom order in that combination, then it would fall outside the rules.

Cheers

Anthony
