BRT Fed Cup results 2013

Hi All,

What a great weekend of competition.  I have just got home from todays 1000 yard shoot.....

Well done to Les Fraser for the outright win in the 500 FLY along with Light gun win and a potential new Australian record 59.02  target & well done to Stuart Elliott for the Heavy Gun win, there are some great results and certainly worth a good look through.

Compliments to Dave Groves, Max Coady and the crew at Majura range for a fantastic shoot... the organizing, scoring and running of the weekend were first class, Well done !!

I have attached the full FLY results with Overall leaderboard , Light gun, Heavy Gun and presentation details (including small group, best target etc) all on seperate tabs on the excel spreadsheet.... It is in the older excel format, so everyone should be able to open it...

Cheers

Anthony

PS I will get the equipment list up as soon as it is ready.

thanks for the support Anthony and spotting for me on the day. The Federal Cup is always the kick off for the fly calendar and as such a very hotly contested event. Thanks to Dave for hosting an excellent shoot that ran extremely well i must say there was a tremendous atmosphere for the shoot during the entire day.

I was lucky enough to watch Stuart shoot his heavy gun and Annie spotting for him they work well as a team and the results are always up there in the top placings.

Winning this event is certainly one of the highlights in my fly shooting career not only the tough competition but also the commencement of the Jim Mckinley trophy which is very very impressive and i am proud to have my name now etched on it for years to come.

Thank you to all who made donations to the website which totalled about $180.00 Anthony and i counted it together i can assure everyone that i will put this money in to the sport for the benefit of all. I think the website is ours to have and to keep it focussed on what we try to achieve with it is what will make it different from other sites.

At the meeting on saturday night we discussed issues to do with the SOTY and other topics we will probably post them on here as discussion points but we agreed on the format for the SOTY which will be posted as a separate topic when i can get to talk to Jugsy (Jeagan Peet) who has kindly been doing the SOTY stats behind the scenes even though at present he cannot get to many of our shoots.

Thanks to Max and Mick Easton, Anthony for the scoring and the prompt posting of results and targets. SInce the development and acceptance of Anthony's program it is a real slick operation now.

The shoots are getting better and better all the time i hope that there are many more fly shoots for you all to come to and enjoy our sport. When you speak about the fly to other shooters feel confident you have one of the hardest shooting disciplines, that is well organised and some fantastic people who make the big shoots that much more special.

The contributions of BRT and Pro Cal at our major shoots warrant at least your attendance i seen alot of products at both of these shoots that come straight out of the pocket of these two major suppliers of quality precision shooting products. Everyone left with something which never happens at any other shooting i have seen so thanks very much BRT and Pro Cal.(STuart and Annie Elliot) (Pete and Leanne Van Muers)

I hope everyone had a great time,  Wagga i have no doubt will be just as great look forward to seeing you all there.

All the best and good shooting Les

Congratulations Les. Very consistent scores for each target with your light gun which is what's required. You have been putting in the efort for a while now and it pays off.

Fairly tough day despite it mostly being not strong winds. Lots of vertical and lots of mirage had its toll which can be seen in the overal scores being slightly lower than usual for everyone.

As usual a great effort by Dave Groves and the Canberra crowd. Appreciate all the work that they do and yes, I agree with Dave this was probably the best target crew ever.

BRT are proud to sponsor this event and hope all there appreciate the prizes. This is the only event we sponsor annually.

Looking forward to the equipment list too.

Photos?
Just one thing if anyone has any photos which that they took over the weekend which are good, particularly at the presentation, I would appreciate if you could email them to us.
We took a lot of photos but the SD card in that camera which we used does not match the SD adapter for our iPad and therefore we lost them all when we tried to download them.

Thanks,
Stuart & Annie

Hi Stuart,

There are lots of tools on the net to recover deleted files from memory cards that have been accidently deleted or formatted.... they are not usually gone until they are overwritten, the system just can't find them any more.

Try this one - it is free for the image recovery part.

Good luck
